Water Project

The Water Project is People helping other people in Africa get water from taps. Instead of going back and forward to a water pond That could carry Radiations,Animal drops,and Water pollution, The Water Project would give the Country more healthy water, so they can be healthy, and wash their hands with healthy water. Their are over 3.4 Million people who die from Water illness. That's a lot of people. Villages will get healthy and easy process water including when they go to the toilet.

Athletics Day

Today 21/11/2019 we had athletics at Glenbrae school and did a 200meter sprint,High jump,shock port,discus, and a relay. All the years in glenbrae had to take part in the event. When Mrs Mardodiki set up the 200 meter sprint,and Mrs Atuahiva did the High jump,Mrs Tofa did Shock port, Mr Nath did the Discus, and Mrs Raj did the Relay.

Some of the room 7 year eights did a tuck shop for the kids that bring money for a fundraiser. On lunch time and morning tea time. Or they could eat their own lunches. Parents and other little toddlers came to watch their Brothers or Sisters take part in the Athletics.

I liked the Athletics because it was fun to run with friends and see whos faster. Or throw the farest on the field with a discus or a shock port. 

I was trapped

One day I was walking home from school when suddenly ,I felt an eerie pain in my stomach like something was going to happen. My stomach was right because as i was walking I stopped near the dairy because a large pit bull was in front of Me.l was in a standoff with a dog.

The dog wouldn't stop looking at me, so I was gonna walk around to the other side of the foot path when an old man came out of a small rusty old garage, and said to me if I wanted a ride home in his rusty old car. I was shocked and looked straight at the mans face and said 'no i'm alright' as i swallowed the saliva in my mouth.

Then i thought to myself i'm trapped between an old man and a large female pitbull. I knew the dog owner was the old mans. So I stood there for a good 5 minutes and the man said ‘you can come in my garage, I have lots lollies’. Then he invited Me into his house. When all of a sudden the dog started barking at Me and I started to get even more scared. Because Im really afraid of dogs.

I saw my neighbors walking down the footpath going to the basketball courts. I walked fast across to them and told them if i could come to the courts. I told them about what had happened. And when i got home i told my parents.

Camp/Day Five

Day five our last time with Chris and Magnus at Ordongo bay. It was very sad because we had to say goodbye to both of them and give them a Hongi as we got into the bus because it was appropriate Maiki said. As we left on the bus everyone straight away sang a Maori song Maiki taught us. Called Ora Mate Kamate. Maiki said that we were going to go see a place called Ura peka peka sadly we weren't able to see the place because a tree fell down on our way to Ura peka peka. So we had to turn around and go back to Auckland then back to Glenbrae school. When we got back to School we did a Haka for Maiki and Mrs Raj gave Maiki a Kowha which means a Gift in Maori. After Maiki droped us off he said he was going to go get some Chicken N Chips Top Taste. And me and Tangi Gaped it home.

  

Camp/ Day Four

Today we went the Russell Museum and got into three groups and each went to the flagstaff hill,Russell Museum or the Christ church of Russell and the Pompallier House. The Russell Museum was were the book of the ginger cat that ate a small bird. And the Christ Church of Russell was an old church that people still go to.To pray and the Pompallier House were they made ink and paper out of leather and wood. And the flagstaff hill that took long to walk up because there was two hill, the main road and the bush way. After we did all activity's we went to long beach and swam at the beach in groups of seven. The people waiting were playing Vollyball and Held and there was a big changing room on top of a hill. Then we went back to Ordongo bay and packed our Bags and had our showers then some of our groups had to go the kitchen to help make dinner for the last day.

Camp/ Day three

On Wednesday day three group one and two went to Rewa's village and the Kemp house. We split up group one went to Rewa's village and group two went to the Kemp house. Group one went through a stone store to get to Rewa's village and saw a old Maori whaka, and little Marae and then a homeless cat came and walked with group one, group two then went up a shop/Museum were they made beer and ink and there were Muskets on the wall. after our walk around Rewa's village Chris and Mugnas surprised us with a treasure hunt around Rewa's Village we got split into multiple groups with our teachers also Chris and Magnus most of us did not complete the treasure hunt.

After we bused to a Bridge were a big as waterfall was and ate a oat bar Mrs Raj made with milk and Maiki told us things about the Area. When we got back at Ordongo bay some of the groups help make dinner with Chris and Magnus we had mince and potato's with pumpkin it was NICE and we did a talent show and did dances and got ready to go to sleep.

I felt Energised about Wednesday because we were walking around every where in Rewa's village and had fun in the Talent show.

camp / Day two

On Tuesday we got up around 5.00 o clock in the morning because we were excited. And we got ready for fitness which was a run around the block of Ordongo bay. Then we were put into groups called group one,two, and three for each days activity we did on our trip. After we got into our groups we were set at our tables to have breakfast and make our lunches .After group one went kayaking with Maiki and Mrs Tofa and Magnus. When group two walked with Chris and Mrs Card to the bush and did bush craft. And group three did team building with Mrs Raj and Mrs Atuahiva. When every one came back from there activity's we switched activity's. Sadly all the other groups could not go kayaking because of the weather. At the end of the day Mrs Raj cooked us Curry rice and chick peas which was nice and we all got ready to go sleep.

I felt very good about Tuesday because when i went kayaking i had lots of fun with my school friends and the teachers. 

Camp / Day one

Today this morning all year seven and eights from room 7 went on a trip to camp. We first had to load our luggage on the bus. Then say goodbye to our family. After that we made it to Whangarei and had a munch at the public park. Then we made our move on the bus to Waitangi grounds and were introduced by Magnus and Chris.Then took a ferry to Russell and got off the bus at Ordongo bay.

My project is a jeep.I have chosen to make a Jeep for my cousin because he likes playing with toy cars. I think this is the best choice because Jeeps look cool and Flash. It will be used for playing. It will be used at home. For this project I will have to consider that i would make sure this project doesn't break.
The Process:

Step 1. The tools that I used was a steel rule,Tri Square,Mallet,Wood Chisel,Claw Hammer,pencil ,Backed Saw and a Bench Hook.
Step 2. The Measurements i got was 80cm and 225cm and 95cm.
Step 3. I marked a square line at 80cm across and the ruler i used was a Tri Square and a Steel Rule.
Step 4. I cut off a piece of wood using a back sawed.

Only 5 % of the ocean water is discovered by humans and their are 95 % left to discover.

There are 71 % of land on earth is covered by water and the other 29 % is land and countries. All sea animals that eat meat have lungs so they have to breathe oxygen but they can hold their breath for very long.Also learnt that the octopus could change shapes as well as their skin color. They camouflage from their enemies and use it to sneak up on prey.

PWC

On Tuesday and Wednesday PWC came to our school the man that came was Adam and Peter they talked to us about how to save money and the expensive and how to reduce spending and increase saving.

Then today Adam and Peter came to our class to teach us what insurance is and told us the types of insurances first was car insurance and house insurance and that shoes and i pads were contents.Adam and Peter told us what it means when someone crashes into someone and they ask for insurance that the insurance would not help them because of the rules they broke and that their speeding.

Life insurance means that they would protect them when they are struggling and that when they past they would get your funeral prepared they also told us that there was a pet insurance for your pet.
After we finished talking about our insurance Adam and Peter presented certificate for our whole class. Adam and Peter then took a picture with us before leaving.

On 15 of march 2019, at 1 : 40 , Friday a terrorist attack had happen in New zealand down in Christchurch. Over 50 innocent muslim people died in a mosque, an Australian man who had a machine gun , glock gun, shotgun. It was discovered that he was in new zealand for 2 years and had plan the shooting in christchurch .

He had came to New zealand because our country was kind and peace full. The Australian man was a 28 year old male. A 3 year old boy had lost his life during the attack, the man had been shooting for a good past few minutes .

A french muslim group is suing facebook because of the man had did it on live facebook. Two young muslim women had lost their two best friends in the attack. Who a not only sad but are grateful for the police department for taking care of their community .

The two young muslim Girls are going to still feel safe in new zealand and the two had commented , that their not going to let one gunman ruin their life .they are going to still stay safe in new zealand. Even when that man had shoot in a mosque .

The prime minister of new zealand Jacinda Ardern had said on News that she's not going to say the shooters name. The man came in a car and he was playing a army's song on his radio, the man had told everyone to subscribe to one of the first famous youtubers PewDiePie, the youtuber on twitter had commented on the christchurch shooting and said ‘he was discussed at him for saying his name like that.

Before he planned the attack police had gone to his mums house, she said that he was a normal boy and he had been in the Australian army and he had fourth of the isis which are muslims, and he had a lot of hatred and hated the muslim people, he came to New zealand because it was a peace full country.
